Guys! By now, you've probably come to know me for bright, minimal, and slightly pinkish sweet eats. But, when your cool industry friends who are amazing at styling and photography, invite you to be a part of their edgy holiday wedding shoot, you do it! You transform yourself into a chic, glammy, sweets maker and you don't look back!
My friends, Becky and Emily had a very clear vision and a tough goal in mind for this one. Hard work pays off, as this shoot, in ALL of its glamorous holiday glory, was just featured on Green Wedding Shoes. *Excited Face*
Let me start with Becky from Daly Digs. She can literally style her butt off. Don't believe me? Check out the amazing work she put into this shoot. What I love about her styling is, it's almost always versatile. Doesn't everyone have a super chic wedding to throw at 2 PM on Friday? No? No worries. You can utilize all of her gorgeous ideas and easy to find props, and throw together a gorgeous holiday gathering, or better yet, ring in the new year with style.
By now, I'm sure you've noticed the flawless photography that brought this party to life. That would be my super awesome friend Emily, with Emily Katharine Photography. She takes photography to the next level with her super powers: natural light and film. Yep. She does ALL that with film. Emily has this ability to give her photos personality. Just check out the photo's from the bride and groom to see what I mean.
What did I contribute to the party? Want to wow your guests and make them feel special? Anything other than edible place cards would have been completely unacceptable. I mean it. Hand painted macarons with each guests name were placed in a gorgeous bed of green moss, at each setting. For someone who is so clumsy (read: me), somehow I manage to get it together when it comes to hand painting sweets. See them below.
There were also hand painted sugar cookies, vanilla meringues, and color accented macarons.
Last and certainly not least, no wedding is complete without cake. Check out this stunning piece from Christopher Cakes! I love the simplicity of the design itself, mixed with the complexity of four layers. And can we take a moment to LOVE the minimalist approach to this photo?
These are just some of my favorite parts. The styled shoot can be seen in its entirety on Green Wedding Shoes along with more inspiration from Daly Digs!
